BUTLER TWP. — From Monday June 12 through Friday June 16, St Paul Lutheran Church on Dog Leg Road in Butler Township will be having their Vacation Bible School. Because 2017 is the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther starting the Protestant Reformation in Europe, the theme for their Vacation Bible School is “Mighty Fortress: In Jesus, the Victory is Won.” (One of the hymns Martin Luther wrote was A Mighty Fortress is Our God.) This week long event will take place from 6 – 8:15 p.m. each night.

Open to children from pre-school age to those who just finished 6th grade, Vacation Bible School is a dedicated week for children to experience God’s love in new ways, learn new Bible stories, and have fun with each other.

“I’m very proud of all of the hard work the people of St Paul put into VBS,” said Pastor Kurt Lammi. “We’re a small congregation who shows large amount of love – both for the members of the congregation and for the community. I encourage everyone to check out the Vacation Bible School ministry here. We look forward to having a fun week this June.”
