A Secret Garden Art Quilt Exhibit

A Secret Garden…what magical words these are! A childhood fantasy of imaginative outdoor play. An adult retreat of beauty and peace. What flowers, birds, animals and insects might find a home in this secret place? A secret garden might be a coral reef, a cathedral of towering trees or a woodland glade with diminutive wildflowers. Artists from across the United States share their special places with us during Aullwood’s 23rd Annual Art Quilt Exhibit continuing through September 13 at the Marie S. Aull Education Center.

Morning Discovery Walks For Adults

Thursdays, September 3, 10, 17, 24 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. A weekly walk along Aullwood’s beautiful trails reveals many new and exciting discoveries. Join Tom Hissong, Education Coordinator, to experience the wonderful seasonal changes taking place at Aullwood. Bring binoculars! (Center)

Come along with Aullwood’s Farm Naturalist to meet the animals, pet them, and learn how to do chores on the farm. Give hay to the horses, water the rabbits, grain the pigs, and more! Wear clothes that can get dirty and come be a farmer for a day! (Farm)

Sunday, September 6, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Join Red and Mick, Aullwood’s draft horse team, and Farmer Bill for a relaxing tour of Aullwood Farm on a wagon drawn by horse power.
